Which led to the question of how social work can play a role in this issue? This study was to try and figure out what queer men in Nigeria are going through day to day. Nigeria's societal Norms have an effect on how social work addresses issues like these. It is quite possible that social work in Nigeria will have trouble with these groups. Laws that support these ideas are making it harder for queer men to get the social help they need. The Nigerian society, laws and the social work environment is not helping the fight against these issues. Queer men in the country try to focus on their health and how they feel mentally. This takes a lot of effort. Why is this issue not being taken seriously in this day and age? LGBTQ+ people around the globe face a lot of the same issues. But most are in much better places. The World Health Organization has said that queer men are more likely to have depression, anxiety and even go through with suicide. This is a big problem in Nigeria. These studies are not as common. As the world progresses, it is important to remember that everyone deserves to be treated equally. This is the first step to stopping these issues.
