The beloved sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle" is making a comeback. Hulu has announced a revival series titled "Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, " set to premiere on April 10. This new four-part event picks up with Malcolm, now an adult, and his daughter, who reconnect with his eccentric family after a long absence. Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz, seems to have found peace away from his family. He jokes, "My life is fantastic now. All I had to do was stay away from my family! " But when his parents, Hal and Lois, insist he attend their 40th wedding anniversary, chaos inevitably follows.
The original series aired on Fox from 2000 to 2006 and was a hit. Most of the original cast is returning, including Muniz, Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Chris Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Emy Coligado. New faces include Keeley Karsten, Vaughan Murrae, and Kiana Madeira. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will take over the role of Dewey. Linwood Boomer, the creator of the original series, is back as writer and executive producer. The revival is directed by Ken Kwapis and produced by Disney Branded Television and 20th Television. The trailer hints at the same chaotic and humorous dynamics that made the original series so popular. Fans can expect the same witty banter and family antics that defined the show.
