Microsoft’s New Health Buddy Helps You Read Your Medical Reports

USA, RedmondFri Mar 13 2026
Microsoft has rolled out a fresh health feature called Copilot Health that works inside its AI helper. The tool sets up a safe area where people can bring in lab numbers, medical files and data from smart watches to see what it all means. The launch will happen slowly, so not everyone can use it right away; interested users can sign up on a waitlist. The system is meant to be a guide, not a doctor. It turns complicated medical language into plain words so people can understand their own health better. Microsoft says it will not diagnose illnesses or replace a professional’s advice.
People can upload records from over 50, 000 U. S. hospitals through a partner named HealthEx and add lab results via Function Health. The tool also works with more than 50 wearables, including those from Apple, Oura and Fitbit. Users can see live activity numbers like steps or heart rate on the home screen, plus reminders for upcoming appointments. Finding a doctor is another handy part. The platform connects to real‑time provider lists, letting users search by specialty, location, language or insurance. It turns the AI into a health concierge that helps locate suitable care. Microsoft claims the answers come from reliable sources. The system pulls data from trusted health groups in over 50 countries, cites its references and even includes expert notes from Harvard Health Publishing. The goal is to give clear evidence rather than vague AI replies.
