Baldwin’s Brandon Thweatt hit a record time of 14. 18 seconds in the 110‑meter hurdles, winning the final at the New York Relays held on Randall’s Island. He also set a meet record of 14. 03 seconds in the preliminaries. Valley Stream North’s Paige Fessler leapt 5‑11 in the high jump, securing first place. In lacrosse, Baldwin’s Casey Keryc celebrated a milestone by scoring her 100th career goal. The district praised her hard work and skill after the victory, even though the team remains outside playoff contention. The Parke family will host a slow‑pitch softball tournament on April 26 at Eisenhower Park. The event honors Lindsey Rose Parke, a volunteer firefighter who passed away in January after a car accident. Proceeds will benefit EMT and fire‑department charities, as well as local baking classes.
