Higher taxes on working families could fund benefits for others, creating a cycle where people depend on government help. Those receiving aid might feel loyal to the politicians who provide it. Many argue that current leaders are already using these methods. They claim a different direction is needed, one that encourages growth and keeps families in New Mexico.
