New York City, USAFri Jun 12 2026
A seasoned producer known for Emmy‑winning shows and box‑office hits has secured a first‑look agreement with Prologue Entertainment, a studio that specializes in dramas grounded in real events. The partnership will see Weinstock and his company, Sweetheart Entertainment, work on series that draw from true stories and real people.
The deal is part of Prologue’s strategy to expand its lineup of scripted content that reflects current global issues. The studio has already released Netflix thrillers such as Zero Day and A House of Dynamite, and it is now adding Weinstock’s expertise to its roster.
Weinstock’s background spans editing at Random House, writing three books, and leading creative teams at Apatow Productions, Chernin Entertainment, and Red Hour Films. He has produced films that have grossed over half a billion dollars and television series that earned 53 Emmy nominations.
His recent work includes the Nigerian‑set film Clarissa, which premiered at Cannes and will be distributed worldwide by Neon. Other notable projects are Bridesmaids, Alex Strangelove, Escape at Dannemora for Showtime, In the Dark on the CW, High Desert on Apple TV+, and the award‑winning Severance, which he continues to executive produce.
Beyond producing, Weinstock founded Craft Services, a support network that mentors more than 1, 000 writers worldwide. The collaboration with Prologue is expected to bring new international co‑productions to audiences across the U. S. , Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Prologue Entertainment was launched in 2024 by Lloyd Braun, Sarah Bremner, and Noah Oppenheim, with backing from Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital Partners. The studio quickly gained a reputation for high‑quality dramas rooted in nonfiction, and it is now expanding its slate with first‑look deals for film and series from The Atlantic and espionage author David McCloskey.
