People are talking about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. A leaker named Nate the Hate said Nintendo plans to reveal the new console this week, on January 16. This won't show the games at first, but just the hardware. Expect a trailer for the games later in February or early March. Other news sites backed up this info.
Nintendo hasn't confirmed anything yet. But the leaks keep coming. Last week, a company showed off a Switch 2 mockup at a big tech event. Nintendo's lawyers got interested, which adds to the rumors.
The new Switch 2 might launch in May or June 2025. A new Mario Kart and a 3D Mario game might come out around the same time. Some big games like Assassin's Creed Mirage and Final Fantasy 7 Remake could also be part of the launch.
People are excited about the new features. There might be a bigger screen, faster SD cards, and a new "C" button. Some say the Joy-Con could turn into a mouse. Others talked about magnetic Joy-Con and new SD card sizes.
Nintendo confirmed the new Switch will play old games and use Nintendo Switch Online. But it won't come out this year. When it does, Nintendo expects plenty of stock to be ready.
