This: North Korea's top diplomat, Choe Son Hui, is in Moscow. Why? Well, reports suggest that North Korea has sent around 10, 000 troops to Russia to help in the Ukraine war. This is a big deal, and Western leaders are worried. They think it could shake things up in the Indo-Pacific region.
Choe met with Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov. They didn't say much about what they talked about, but South Korea's spy agency thinks they might be discussing sending more troops and what North Korea would get in return.
There are concerns that Russia might give North Korea some fancy tech that could make their nuclear weapons and missiles even scarier. But Russia and North Korea aren't admitting to anything. They just say their military cooperation is all legal.
The U. S. and its allies are also upset because they think North Korea has been giving Russia lots of artillery shells and other stuff to help in the war. Russia and China have been blocking efforts to tighten sanctions on North Korea because of their missile tests.
South Korea's President, Yoon Suk Yeol, is thinking about supplying Ukraine with weapons. But for now, South Korea is just giving humanitarian aid and joining economic sanctions against Russia.
In other news, Russia launched some missiles and drones at Ukraine. Some were intercepted, some were jammed, and some flew to Belarus. There were also reports of drones hitting civilian areas and causing damage.
