Ukraine's government has released a video that they claim shows North Korean soldiers in Russia. The video, shared by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security, shows these soldiers receiving Russian military uniforms. The Associated Press couldn't confirm the video's authenticity. Ihor Solovey, the center's head, said the video is crucial because it's the first visual proof that North Korea is involved in the war, not just with supplies but also with troops. This comes after Ukraine's military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, said about 11, 000 North Korean soldiers are training in eastern Russia.
He believes they could join the fight by November. Solovey also warned that the arrival of these soldiers means Ukraine will need more weapons and international support to defend against this escalating aggression. The video's release highlights the growing military alliance between Russia and North Korea, which signed a strategic partnership treaty last year.
