Nvidia Talk Sparks Surge in AI‑Linked Coins
San Jose, California, USA,Tue Mar 17 2026
After Nvidia’s chief, Jensen Huang, spoke at the GTC conference, several crypto tokens that tie into artificial intelligence jumped sharply.
The most noticeable gain came from NEAR, which climbed over ten percent in a day to its highest level since January.
The token of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance also jumped about twenty percent before easing off later in the session.
WLD, a crypto that focuses on identity and was co‑founded by Sam Altman of OpenAI, rose around ten percent to its best price since March.
Grass, a network that lets people earn money by lending unused internet bandwidth for AI training, surged thirteen percent to new highs in 2026.
Huang’s remarks emphasized Nvidia’s key position in the worldwide AI market. He projected that chip demand could reach roughly one trillion dollars by 2027, with large cloud providers making up the majority of that business.
He also highlighted the rapid growth of agent‑based AI systems, praising a project called OpenClaw that developers have recently embraced.
Nvidia is working on an enterprise version named NemoClaw, aiming to make autonomous AI agents safer for corporate use without risking sensitive data.
Although the speaker didn’t mention crypto directly, many blockchain projects now believe that future AI agents will need crypto networks to handle transactions and coordination automatically.
Other teams are building decentralized infrastructures for computing power, AI training, and agent support, positioning blockchain as an alternative to traditional, centralized AI platforms.
Nvidia’s own stock saw a brief lift during the keynote, rising about two percent before settling back. The company’s shares closed the day roughly one and a half percent higher.
