Orbs Unveils New System to Speed Up Cross‑Chain Crypto Trades

The latest upgrade from Orbs, a Layer‑3 blockchain focused on trading, introduces a system called Committee Sync that helps verify trades across different blockchains without moving user funds. The update builds on Orbs’ existing execution layer, which powers various decentralized trading protocols such as dTWAP and Liquidity Hub. Since the previous version, Orbs has handled more than $14 billion in trades on over 30 decentralized exchanges spread across ten blockchains, earning about $3. 2 million in revenue for the network. Committee Sync works by collecting signatures from a group of trusted nodes, called Guardians, and broadcasting the approved state to compatible chains. Smart contracts on those chains can then confirm the trade actions locally using these signatures, cutting out the need for costly per‑chain verification systems and avoiding the risks of bridges that lock up liquidity. Only signed data moves between chains, so user funds stay on their original network.This feature is part of Orbs’ plan to support AI‑driven trading. By making execution more decentralized and efficient, the new architecture allows automated strategies to run reliably across multiple networks. The first phase of the rollout is live on Ethereum and Arbitrum, with contracts already synchronizing state, nonces, and signatures through a dedicated subnet. Future plans include adding support for more EVM chains like Polygon, Avalanche, and BNB Chain, as well as improving the network with better signature storage, historical state replay, and upgraded Guardian software. Orbs guarantees that current products will keep working during the transition, with no expected service interruptions.
