A new psychological crime drama is set to hit North American screens next year. The film, titled “A Silent Death, ” was produced by the company FilmSharks and has just been licensed to Myriad Pictures for distribution across the continent. The agreement was signed by Kirk D’Amico of Myriad and Guido Rud along with Federico Pascua from FilmSharks. The movie is expected to premiere in the third quarter of 2026. The story takes place in 1980s Patagonia, a remote and rugged region of South America. It follows a hunting guide who stumbles upon a violent crime that is linked to his own niece. As he digs deeper, the investigation reveals long‑hidden secrets from a dark period in the area’s history. The plot blends past and present, creating tension that keeps viewers on edge.The lead role is played by Joaquín Furriel, who previously starred in Sebastian Schindel’s 2014 hit “The Boss, Anatomy of a Crime. ” He is joined by well‑known actors such as Soledad Villamil and Alejandro Awada. Cinematographer Guillermo Nieto’s work adds a chilling atmosphere to the film, enhancing its psychological depth.
