Peacekeepers in Trouble: Israeli Fire in Lebanon

Lately, folks are really worried about UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the UN's peacekeeping boss, just told everyone that things out there are getting tougher. Not long ago, an Israeli tank shot at a UN observation tower in Naqoura, leaving two peacekeepers injured. The Israeli army said they were aiming at Hezbollah, who they think were near the UN base. But the UN isn't happy; they say that any attack on peacekeepers is against the rules of the international game. Countries like Italy, France, and Ireland all have peacekeepers there, and they're all feeling nervous. Even the EU chimed in, saying that the attack was wrong and something bad should happen because of it.This isn't the first time this has happened. There have been many other incidents where the safety of UN peacekeepers was at risk. It just goes to show how tense things are in the region.
