You know how sometimes people can see the same thing but have totally different opinions? That's what happened in New Hampshire recently. A group of lawmakers looked into how well the state handled the COVID pandemic. They couldn't agree on their findings. Five Republicans said the state's efforts didn't really slow down the virus. They even thought the state might have been sharing wrong info about vaccines. But the five Democrats on the same committee didn't agree. They said the job was way too big for volunteers and that a report from the governor gave a better picture. It's like they were looking at different movies!
The lawmakers were part of a special committee formed in January. They had no staff and only met for a few hours over nine months. They heard from lots of people, including an attorney who fought against COVID vaccine rules and an engineer who thought he had secret data. The committee's chair, a Republican, thanked two members for drafting the majority report. The vice chair, a Democrat, released a different report. Both groups respected the testimonies, but they didn't see eye to eye.
