The 23‑year‑old artist, known for the viral track “BodyPartz, ” was discovered dead at a friend’s house on Sunday. His death has sparked confusion and concern among family and authorities.
Before the tragedy, Luci4 was supposed to board a 10:52 PM flight from LAX to Miami for a concert. A minor TSA hiccup caused him to arrive late, leading to a tense encounter with airport staff. The situation escalated when LAX police were called in, and the rapper was briefly detained.
During this detainment, officers spoke with his grandmother about his mental state and whether he might have been intoxicated. They expressed worry that his behavior was unpredictable, and they planned to take him to a hospital for safety. Luci4 had no known mental health diagnoses, according to his father.
Shortly after being released, Luci4 contacted his grandmother again, saying he was no longer in custody and would visit her home for new clothes if another flight wasn’t available. He never arrived, and the next day he was found deceased at the same residence.
The family has asked LAX officials for details about what transpired during his detainment and who was present. They also point out that Luci4’s wallet, containing cash and identification, was missing from the house.
The medical examiner has listed his death as “deferred, ” and no homicide detectives were dispatched by the LAPD. The case remains under coroner review rather than police investigation.
In response, the family launched a GoFundMe page highlighting Luci4’s positive influence and expressing gratitude for those who supported him. They also seek clarity on the circumstances that led to his untimely passing.
