Retirement of a TV PR Legend

Audrey Beth Davis, who helped promote many beloved TV shows, passed away at 82.
She spent her life working in public relations for television.
Her career began after high school, when she joined a production company that ran the popular game show “The Match Game. ”
Later, she moved into PR.
In the 1970s she worked for Stone Associates before joining a new firm led by Dick Lippin.
That company became known as The Lippin Group, and she stayed there until 2008.
During her time in the industry, Davis promoted shows that many people still remember today.
She worked on “The Golden Girls, ” “Empty Nest, ” and the long‑running cruise ship drama “The Love Boat. ”
She also helped publicize several installments of the “Law & Order” franchise, including the special‑victims unit and criminal intent spin‑offs.
Her colleagues said she died of natural causes in Pennsylvania, surrounded by friends and family.
They remembered her as a dedicated professional who made television history possible.
