Russell Wilson seems all set to make his debut start for the Steelers against the Jets this Sunday night. Dan Moore Jr. , the offensive tackle, revealed that Wilson practiced with the first-team offense during Wednesday's session. Moore noted that Wilson had been doing this for the past few weeks.
Wilson was also the first quarterback to take part in individual drills, followed by Justin Fields and Kyle Allen. However, head coach Mike Tomlin kept quiet about who will be starting. He stated that any decisions made are internal matters and didn't disclose who was getting the first-team reps between Wilson and Fields.
Tomlin emphasized that both quarterbacks were fully participating in practice and he was pleased with their involvement. Interestingly, Wilson wasn’t mentioned on Pittsburgh’s initial injury report for the week. He was the backup to Fields in Week 6.
Despite Tomlin’s silence, it's looking likely that Wilson will get his first start for the Steelers this weekend.
