Samsung is diving deeper into AI with its latest move. Google's Gemini AI will soon be connected to Samsung's stock apps like Calendar, Notes, and Reminders. This isn't surprising, given Samsung and Google's tight partnership over the years. They've even worked together to save the Android smartwatch industry with Wear OS 3. Thanks to a tech tipster, we've got a sneak peek at how Gemini AI will work with these apps. In the Samsung Calendar, you'll be able to do stuff like create, edit, or delete events using voice or text commands. You can even pull data from images to make new events. Notes get a boost too. You can create and summarize notes with your voice or find them based on a short description.
Gemini will also handle reminders in the Reminder app. It can create reminders for specific dates or times, edit them, search through existing ones, or delete them. But hold your horses, there are some limits. In the Calendar app, Gemini won't be able to share events or spot overlapping ones. In Notes, you can't create or delete folders, add tags, or invite others to shared notes. The Reminders app can't add locations or photos, edit categories, or include checklists. So, when will these AI-powered features roll out? It looks like they'll be part of the One UI 7. 0 package, set to debut with the Galaxy S24 series next month. Samsung fans, get ready to say hello to a smarter phone experience!
