Senator Bernie Sanders recently put Robert F. Kennedy Jr. , President Trump’s nominee for the Department of Health and Human Services, in the hot seat during a confirmation hearing. The focus? A controversial baby onesie sold by Children’s Health Defense, a nonprofit Kennedy once led. The onesie, priced at $26, bore the message “No Vax, No Problem. ” Sanders highlighted this, questioning Kennedy’s pro-vaccine claims. Kennedy insisted he was pro-vaccine and that his children were vaccinated.
However, Sanders pointed out the contradiction, noting that the onesie casts doubt on vaccines. Kennedy responded by saying he no longer serves on the board of the organization and has no control over its merchandise. Despite this, the group’s website still lists Kennedy as a founder. After the hearing, Children’s Health Defense playfully responded on social media, thanking Sanders for the publicity and offering him some of their merchandise.
