Shocking Attack in Olathe Park Leaves Choir Teacher Injured

Olathe, Kansas, USASat Mar 21 2026
A 27‑year‑old man from Olathe was taken into custody after stabbing a woman in the face at a local park. The victim, who works as a choir teacher at Indian Trail Middle School, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Police arrived about 12:05 p. m. and found the woman, who was later identified as Jamie Trumpp, suffering from stab wounds. The suspect, Kwan Noble Trezvant, was already out on bond for a prior offense when the attack occurred. Witnesses say the teacher tried to stop him from kidnapping a child, but this claim has not been confirmed by authorities.
Trezvant’s criminal record includes several arrests in Johnson County over the past two years, including a misdemeanor battery on an officer charge and a possession charge. He was released on low bonds each time, most recently for $5, 000. Now he faces a first‑degree attempted murder charge and is being held at the Johnson County Adult Detention Center on a $500, 000 bond. He was scheduled to appear before a judge that afternoon.
