Singapore Ex-Minister Gets 12 Months for Gift Taking and Justice Blocking

A former minister in Singapore has been sent to prison for a year. His name is S. Iswaran, he's 62 years old, and he used to be part of the cabinet for 13 years. The court found him guilty of taking expensive gifts worth over $300,000 and obstructing justice. This is a big deal because Singapore is known for its honest government and low corruption rates. The case started with 35 charges, but only five were brought to court.
