Sneaking Through Pixels: A New Take on Heist Games
Fri Mar 13 2026
Project Shadowglass offers a fresh twist on the classic thief story.
Instead of flat 2D levels, the game uses a special kind of 3‑D pixel art that lets players walk around freely in any direction.
This new look was first shown at a big gaming event where only the developers could see it before anyone else.
The player takes on the role of a street‑wise rogue who wants to change a cruel system.
To do this, they must pick up valuable items and old relics from wealthy people without getting caught.
Because it is a full “immersive sim, ” the character has to learn about each location, find hidden clues, and gather tools that help in future missions.
The environment is a key part of the challenge.
Players can hide in shadows, turn off lights, and sneak over rooftops to stay unseen.
If they make too much noise or walk on noisy surfaces, guards will notice them and a fight may start.
In that case the player must use their sword to defend themselves.
The game will be released for PC in 2027, but a demo will arrive next year.
Fans can add the title to their Steam wishlists now so they get alerts when it drops.
Console versions are also planned, and updates can be followed on the developer’s social media.
