You might have heard of Keith Le Goy before – he’s been making big moves at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) for a while now. Well, guess what? He’s been promoted to the big chair, becoming the chairman of SPT. That’s a pretty big deal! Le Goy has been around the block at Sony. He used to run the combined television and home entertainment distribution and marketing businesses. Plus, he oversaw SPE’s cable networks in Latin America and Europe. Now, he’s got even more on his plate. His new job means he’s in charge of all SPT’s domestic and international production. That includes game shows and the Game Show Network (GSN). Talk about a packed schedule! This promotion comes after Ravi Ahuja became the president and CEO of SPE in January. Le Goy will still report to Ahuja, so they’ll be working closely together. Le Goy has done some amazing things in the past. He locked down some huge deals for Sony IP, like “Seinfeld, ” and film output deals with Netflix and Disney. Under his leadership, SPE’s digital home entertainment business had its best year ever in 2024, and Crunchyroll hit 15 million subscribers. He’s also focused on local language productions in Latin America and launched some cool new services like RIDEVU and Sony Pictures Core. Before joining Sony back in 1999, Le Goy was over at Disney, where he was the vice president of sales for Europe. Ahuja had some nice things to say about Le Goy: “Keith has a great track record and a sharp mind. He’s a fantastic colleague and I’m excited to work with him in this new role. ” Le Goy himself is pretty stoked about the new job: “It’s an honor to lead SPT at this exciting time. With Ravi’s support and our awesome teams, I think we’re going to do great things. ”
