Stabbing Incident Hits Golders Green, Raising Safety Concerns

A man was caught with a knife in Golders Green, north London. He tried to hurt Jewish people on the street. Local watchers from Shomrim saw him and ran to help. Police came fast and used a taser on the suspect. The area was closed off for safety. Emergency crews, including an ambulance and a police helicopter, arrived at the scene. A video on social media shows officers detaining the attacker and two civilians helping out. The police cordoned off a large part of Golders Green Road.This attack is part of a recent series of antisemitic incidents. Earlier, arsonists set fire to four ambulances that belong to a Jewish charity in the same area. Four people were charged for those fires. A synagogue and another Jewish charity’s former building were also hit in the last few weeks. The community is on high alert after these events. The authorities say they are increasing patrols to protect residents. The Shomrim group continues to monitor the area and assist emergency services.
