Sudan's Silent Crisis: A Call for Action

Right now, while many people are celebrating and talking about peace, a terrible thing is happening in Sudan. A group called the Rapid Support Forces has taken over the city of El Fasher. They are killing many people. This is not new. It has been happening for years. But now, it is worse than ever. The world knew this could happen. Experts warned about it for over two years. But no one did enough to stop it. The United States and other countries have not taken serious steps to help. This is a big problem. It shows that the world is not doing enough to protect people.The Rapid Support Forces are backed by the United Arab Emirates. They have been accused of doing bad things before. Now, they are doing even worse things. Satellite pictures show mass graves and burn piles. This means many people have been killed in a short time. A scholar named Nathaniel Raymond looked at the pictures. He thinks between 30, 000 and 100, 000 people may have been killed in just six weeks. That is a lot of people. It is like what happened in Rwanda in 1994. The death toll in El Fasher in less than two months may be comparable to that in Gaza over two years. This is a big crisis. It is one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. But many people do not know about it. The world needs to pay attention. Leaders need to do something. They need to stop the killing and help the people of Sudan.
