Summer Events in Aspen: What’s On This Week?

This week in Aspen, there’s no shortage of fun ways to spend your evenings. On May 22, the Pitkin County Library kicks off the summer with a free party, complete with snacks and games for all ages. It’s a great way to meet others while diving into the summer reading challenge, which runs until early August. If live music is more your style, two exciting shows take place that same night. At The Vault, Emery Major returns with fresh comedy and his hit viral song “Tick Season. ” Meanwhile, at Belly Up, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band called Dreams Unwind will perform, recreating the iconic sounds of the legendary group.The next day, May 23, brings another music option with the O’Connor Brothers Band at Belly Up. Blending rock, blues, and folk, they’re a local favorite with a decade of touring under their belt. For those who prefer storytelling over tunes, a special women’s storytelling night happens at Wheeler Opera House. Curated by Alya Howe, the event features real-life experiences from five different women, offering a raw and personal look at life in the valley. The week wraps up on May 28 with a comedy showcase part of the Roaring Fork Rising Series. It’s a chance to laugh and support local talent in an intimate setting.
