Tanishq Expands Into the Northeast, Welcoming New Jewelry Fans

A new showroom for India’s popular Tanishq jewelry brand has opened in Westborough, Massachusetts, marking the company’s 10th U. S. location and its first in New England. The 4, 000‑square‑foot space opened on Dec. 4 and officially launched on March 6, offering a wide range of gold pieces for weddings, festivals, everyday wear and statement looks. The brand, part of the Tata Group through Titan Company Limited, was founded in 1994 by Xerxes Desai and is headquartered in Bengaluru. With more than 400 stores worldwide, Tanishq has been steadily adding U. S. locations in states such as New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Georgia and Florida before arriving in Massachusetts.The new Westborough store targets the growing Indian community in New England, which hosts nearly 40, 000 Indian households. The U. S. overall has the largest Indian diaspora in the world, with 5. 69 million people, half of them descendants of earlier immigrants, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs. The opening was attended by Raghuram S. , the first Indian consul general in Boston, who highlighted how Tanishq’s arrival reflects the expanding presence of Indian brands across America. In a recent X post, his office noted that the 10th store in three years demonstrates the growing influence of Indian businesses in the U. S. Tanishq’s North American strategy focuses on blending traditional gold artistry with contemporary design to appeal to both new and established Indian customers. The Westborough showroom promises a mix of bridal collections, festive wear, everyday essentials and unique statement pieces for visitors to explore.
