The Silver Valley sports teams had a week filled with ups and downs. The Kellogg volleyball team continued their winning streak, defeating Timberlake and St. Maries in non-league and Central Idaho League play, respectively. Freshman Dani Henrikson was a standout player, recording 17 kills and four blocks against Timberlake and 10 kills, 15 digs, three aces, and two blocks against St. Maries.
Meanwhile, the Wallace volleyball team swept Clark Fork and Kootenai in Scenic Idaho Conference play, led by sisters Bethany and Kylee Phillips. In football, the Wallace Miners won against Clark Fork 60-36, with freshman quarterback Cooper Miller accounting for 381 yards and six touchdowns. However, the Kellogg Wildcats struggled against North Fremont, losing 62-20. The Silver Valley Swim Team also had a successful weekend at the University of Idaho Icebreaker, setting nine new personal records and a new team record.
