Time to Upgrade Sycamore's Aging Security Cameras

Sycamore is looking to give its old security cameras a much-needed upgrade. The current systems in place are outdated and not doing their job well enough. The city council will talk about this at their meeting on Tuesday. The police chief has suggested hiring a company called AccessOne. They would charge $100, 5000 to upgrade all the cameras. The police department has some money set aside for this, and the city manager has found some extra funding too.The other companies quoted higher prices, so AccessOne seems like the best deal. The police department's cameras were installed way back in 2011. There are only 20 cameras working right now, and they don't cover all the important areas. The evidence rooms, hallways, and even the basement aren't being watched. City Hall has only two cameras, but they are planning to make some changes to the building. This is a good time to upgrade the security systems there too. It's clear that Sycamore needs to modernize its security to keep up with the times.
