Tragic Crash in Ethiopia: What We Should Know

In southern Ethiopia, a truck filled with passengers met a horrific end after it missed a bridge and plunged into a river. The accident, which happened in the Bona district, resulted in the death of at least 71 people, with only five survivors who are now in critical condition. The regional government's spokesperson, Wosenyeleh Simion, confirmed the tragic details. He mentioned that many of the passengers were returning from a wedding, and some families lost multiple members. The truck was reportedly overloaded, which likely contributed to the catastrophe.Sadly, this isn't the first time Ethiopia has seen such a tragic accident. In 2018, a bus packed with students also met a disastrous end when it plunged into a ravine.
