Tragic Shooting in North Charleston: A Closer Look

On Monday afternoon, the North Charleston Police Department responded to a frightening incident. A man, armed with a rifle similar to an AR-15, attacked a group of people at the Abberly Crossing Apartments on Patriots Boulevard. The attack happened around 4:41 PM. The suspect was seen leaving the scene, wearing protective gear including a helmet and body armor. When police entered the apartment, they found three people who had been shot. Sadly, they were already dead. The suspect fled the scene and was later tracked down by police. They found him at another residence on Briarstone Court.Upon arrival, officers saw the suspect come out of the house with a five-year-old child. They ordered him to drop his weapon. Instead, the suspect put the child down safely and then took his own life. Police later confirmed that the suspect was related to the three deceased victims. The North Charleston Police Department and the Dorchester County Coroner's Office are working together to gather more details about this tragic event.
