President Trump recently told a Fox News host that his strategy against Iran is modeled after U. S. actions in Venezuela, even though the Venezuelan leader remains alive. He claimed that the approach used there—capturing the head of state and sending him to the U. S. —could be replicated in Tehran. During a phone conversation with Bret Baier, Trump emphasized that the plan was “ready” and that the U. S. had a clear idea of what would happen next in Iran, mirroring the Venezuela example. The president also said that recent airstrikes had eliminated not only Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but also most of his potential successors. He told ABC that the attack was so effective it “knocked out” alternative candidates, leaving no viable replacements. According to Trump, 48 Iranian officials were killed during the strikes. The U.
