What Drives Celebrity Followers: Language or Social Ties?

Ever wondered what makes some celebrities more popular on Twitter than others? It could be their choice of words or how well they connect with others online. Researchers studied 471 Indian celebrities with verified Twitter accounts to find out. They looked at tweets, retweets, and mentions to see how these celebrities interact with each other and their followers. They also checked the language used in their tweets, like how positive or readable it was. Interestingly, they found that the words celebrities use matter more than who they connect with. When they used more friendly language and positive words, and their tweets were easier to read, they got more followers. But combining both language and social connections gave the best results. Celebrities with lots of followers tend to use more words related to friends and family, have a positive vibe in their tweets, use better language structures, and make their tweets easy to read.
