But, there's good news! Qualcomm has invented XPAN technology, which promises to bring WiFi earbuds to life. These earbuds will be able to get a 24-bit 96kHz signal through WiFi, solving the low-quality problem. But, there's a catch.The buds and your phone both need a Qualcomm chip, like the S7 Pro. This means not everyone can enjoy them, and you'll need to be on the same WiFi network, so it's an at-home-only deal. A bit disappointing, isn't it? Lucky for us, these earbuds will still work with Bluetooth when you're out and about. Will they be as good as the Sony WH-1000XM5 or the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds? Time will tell.
