Zenless Zone Zero Gets a Big Season‑End Update

The popular action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is set to hit a major new patch on May 6, wrapping up the second season with fresh story beats and gameplay tweaks. The update, called “Sunset of New Eridu, ” follows the chase for a secret target named Ramiel and will bring two top‑tier agents to the roster. Promia, an icy judge from the Black Branch of Krampus, can turn collected cold damage into a powerful frost strike and trigger an auto‑evade when she’s hit. Her abilities also boost damage for teammates in the party. Starlight Billy, a revamped physical attacker who rides a battle bike, delivers huge burst damage with his “Knight’s Flying Kick” move. Fans will also see returning agents Lucia and Opi & Will‑o‑Wisp pop up in limited banners. A new Wind element now mixes with existing anomalies, creating “Turbulence” when enemies enter a wind state. This mechanic changes how area damage is calculated, encouraging players to rethink their team setups.The patch introduces a new area called Butopia, where players can rescue a character named Bangboo and unlock the Ghostboo companion that shoots lasers. Additional events, such as “Extreme Judgment Training, ” give players extra ways to earn rewards. Style and performance upgrades are also in the mix. A new outfit for Hoshimi Miyabi, titled “When Flowers Bloom in the Silver Garden, ” will be available. The game’s interface gets a new “Polychrome Guide” feature, and resource handling has been fine‑tuned for smoother play.
