In a surprising turn of events, a 20-year-old man from Carlsbad, California, was ordered by a judge to give up his guns. This decision came after authorities discovered he had talked to the teen girl suspected of a school shooting in Wisconsin. The young man, Alexander Paffendorf, was said to have shared plans to attack a government building with the girl. The police and FBI visited his home on Tuesday night to take his guns and ammunition. Paffendorf admitted to the FBI that he discussed arming himself with explosives and a gun. He also mentioned targeting a government building. Despite these revelations, the Carlsbad Police Department assured residents that there was no immediate threat to their community. The investigation is being led by the Madison Police Department in Wisconsin. Neighbors were shocked to see a large police presence near Paffendorf's house. They never thought such an event would be connected to their neighborhood. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, a 15-year-old girl named Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow allegedly killed a teacher and a student, and injured six others at Abundant Life Christian School. She was later found dead at the scene with suspected self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The FBI in San Diego declined to comment on the situation.
