Local Stars Shine in Football and Volleyball Honors

In the world of high school sports, local athletes have been making waves. The All-Three Rivers Conference Mississippi Division team has recognized some standout players. From Hall High School, seniors Braden Curran and Aiden Redcliff made the cut, with Redcliff also earning a spot as a first-team linebacker. Princeton High School's Casey Etheridge was another unanimous pick, also snagging a first-team defensive back role. Other notable mentions include Hall's Chace Sterling and Jack Curran, and Princeton's Gavin Lanham, who was picked as a first-team quarterback. The second-team picks didn't fall far behind. Hall's Jacob Mongan, Mendota's Cannon Chaon, and Princeton's Owen Hartman were among those recognized. The honorable mentions included Hall's Dylan Glynn, Mendota's Reese Lane, and Princeton's Eli Burden, among others. Switching gears to volleyball, La Salle-Peru's Aubrey Duttlinger and Kelsey Frederick made waves in the Illinois Prep Volleyball All-State Team. Duttlinger, a junior, was a third-team selection and the Interstate 8 Conference co-MVP. Frederick, a senior, received an honorable mention. Their impressive stats and teamwork led the Cavaliers to a stellar 32-6 record, a conference title, and a deep run in the playoffs. Their performance is a testament to their hard work and talent.
