Magazine Dreams: A New Chance for Majors and His Team
Los Angeles, USAThu Dec 19 2024
Jonathan Majors' film "Magazine Dreams" finally has a release date set for March 21, 2025, thanks to Briarcliff Entertainment. This drama, written and directed by Elijah Bynum, was once expected to launch Majors into the Best Actor race after its 2023 Sundance Film Festival debut. However, Majors' legal troubles cast a shadow over the film, leading to its initial delay. He was eventually convicted of two misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment against his ex-girlfriend.
Despite the setbacks, the film's team remains hopeful. Majors transformed his body for the role, eating 6100 calories daily and training six days a week. His exit from the Avengers films and impressive performance in "Creed III" highlight his acting range. Bynum, who was poised for a breakout, still has a chance to shine, as do co-stars Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, and four-time Mr. Universe Mike O’Hearn.
Bynum expressed pride in the team's work, thanking Tom Ortenberg and Briarcliff Entertainment for their support. Ortenberg has a history of successful releases, including "The Apprentice" and the Best Picture Oscar winner "Spotlight". Zeus Network is partnering with Briarcliff to market "Magazine Dreams".
The film's production team includes Jennifer Fox, Dan Gilroy, Jeffrey Soros, and Simon Horsman. Majors also serves as an executive producer through his Tall Street Productions, alongside Luke Rodgers and Andrew Blau for Los Angeles Media Fund. Lemuel Plummer, LJ Plummer, and Jason Tolbert are also executive producers.
