Magic Kingdom's Latest Updates: New Pins, AI Tech, and More!

Sat Dec 07 2024
Hey there! Even after the holiday rush, Magic Kingdom is buzzing with new stuff. Today, we spotted loads of new pins, artificial intelligence being tested at a resort, and even some cool merch. First off, the park wasn't as packed as usual, maybe because of the chilly morning. I hopped on the ferryboat since the express monorail wasn't running yet. Upon arriving, I was surprised by how quiet it was. Guess the cold kept some folks indoors! I noticed some refurbishment work happening at the bathrooms near City Hall. They were covered in white scrim, probably just a quick makeover. Earlier this year, there was more work going on there. The sunrise over Cinderella Castle was breathtaking. It's magical how the holiday decorations make everything feel so special. In Uptown Jewelers, I found some new Baublebar earrings. There's a set with Mickey and Minnie in a pink teacup for $35. 00, and a golden Mickey head design for $40. 00. These match some recent Disney releases. A little squirrel was enjoying his breakfast outside the Skipper Canteen, watching the small crowd. Cute, huh? At Critter Co-op, there's new Tiana merch, including a detailed $149. 99 doll and a $34. 99 figurine set. The bunny's still at the front of the pull toys, unlike in Disneyland. I also found some new open-edition pins at the Frontierland Trading Post. Prices range from $12. 99 to $16. 99. My favorite? Baby Animal! The Lion King pins were scattered around. There's a set for $34. 99 and singles ranging from $12. 99 to $22. 99. My top pick? Mufasa hugging Rafiki. The 2025 ornaments have arrived at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. The light-up Cinderella Castle ornament is $29. 99. Sadly, the Tangled restroom mural is fading. Hope they redo it with stronger paint! AI is being tested at All-Star Sports. A robot is helping with self-checkout, but a Cast Member is still there to fix any issues. Not sure if it's ready to replace human help yet, but who knows? Disney Lakeshore Lodge construction is underway. Not much to see yet, but it's getting there! My day ended with a ride on the express monorail. A little boy was excited to eat Chick-fil-A on his way home. That's a wrap for today! What was your favorite moment?
