Making Digital Mental Health Care Fit for Latin American College Students
Sat Nov 16 2024
In low-resource regions like Latin America, digital mental health tools are becoming increasingly important. But for these tools to truly help, they need to fit with local cultures. They talked to potential users in focus groups and also surveyed students who had actually used the program. The results showed that some cultural tweaks could make the program more effective and satisfying for the students. This highlights the importance of adapting digital mental health tools to local cultures to make them more useful and appealing. It also underscores the need for more research into how to best adapt these tools to different cultural settings.
