Manchester United Eyes Bayern Midfielder Goretzka for January Transfer

Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka in the January transfer window. The Premier League club is considering another transfer raid on Bayern, after already signing defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui this summer. Goretzka, a Germany international, has struggled for game time under new manager Vincent Kompany. However, a Sky Germany journalist has stated that Goretzka has no immediate plans to leave Bayern. Manchester United is also looking for an affordable striker, as their current forwards are struggling to score goals. Bayern is open to selling Goretzka in the future, and a cheaper deal may be struck as his contract nears its end. With manager Ruben Amorim set to join United, Goretzka could be his first signing. Bayern's director of sport, Max Eberl, revealed that Goretzka was upset about being left out of the squad for a game earlier this season. United is also interested in signing Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres and FC Porto forward Samu Omorodion.
