Hamill shared on Instagram that he and his family left their home just in time, with small fires popping up on both sides of the road as they headed to the Pacific Coast Highway. They arrived at their daughter’s house in Hollywood around 8:15 p. m. , commenting that it was the worst fire since 1993. He witnessed people panicking, children crying, and bumper-to-bumper traffic making evacuation difficult. Guttenberg helped move cars to allow fire trucks through, hoping to keep the community safe. The fires didn’t spare Palisades Charter High School, a popular location for Hollywood productions like Carrie, Savage Streets, and Freaky Friday. The school’s loss adds to the overall devastation caused by these wildfires.
