Marvel's Daredevil Returns with a Bang

New York, USASun Oct 12 2025

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is buzzing with excitement after the big reveal at New York Comic Con. Fans got their first look at the upcoming season of "Daredevil: Born Again," and it's packed with surprises.

Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter Return

Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, took the stage and brought back a familiar face: Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. This news has fans thrilled, as Jones was a fan favorite in her own series and teamed up with Daredevil before.

Trailer Highlights

The trailer, shown only to those in attendance, also hinted at the return of Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. This is a big deal because Foggy was killed off in the first episode of the current season. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was also a major part of the trailer, showing him in a boxing ring, ready for action.

Season 1 Recap

Season 1 of "Daredevil: Born Again" hit Disney+ earlier this year and brought back many beloved characters from the original Netflix series. Cox, who has played Daredevil in other MCU projects, led the show. The series is rated M, making it the first of its kind in the MCU. In the first season, Daredevil faced off against Kingpin, who had become the mayor of New York City. Deborah Ann Woll also returned as Karen Page, another close friend of Matt Murdock.

Major Twists and Announcements

The season premiere shocked fans with a major twist: Foggy Nelson was killed by Bullseye. This event sent Matt into a deep depression, leading him to give up his Daredevil persona. Before the season even ended, it was announced that Krysten Ritter would be back as Jessica Jones. Additionally, Matthew Lillard will join the cast, and the show has already been renewed for a third season.

Cast and Future Projects

The cast of "Born Again" includes many talented actors, such as Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, and Jon Bernthal. Bernthal, known for his role as the Punisher, made his MCU debut in this series. He will also star in his own MCU special and appear in the upcoming "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."
