Maryland's Weather: From Dreary to Delightful
Maryland, USAWed Oct 15 2025
Maryland's weather has been on a rollercoaster lately. It started off gloomy on Tuesday, but things are looking up. A nor'easter that's been hanging around the east coast is finally moving out. So, the dreary weather that's been sticking around Maryland early Tuesday will start to clear up as the day goes on.
Expect a strong breeze from the north, blowing at 10 to 20 mph. This will help clear out the light rain and drizzle, making way for some partial sunshine. Temperatures will rise to the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and comfortable, with lows around the middle 50s.
Wednesday is shaping up to be a great day across the state. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds, with a breezy north-northwest wind at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will reach the lower 70s during the day. But be ready for a cooler push of air Wednesday evening and night, dropping temperatures into the 30s and lower 40s by early Thursday morning.
Thursday and Friday mornings will be chilly, with temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Frost is possible, especially outside the Baltimore Beltway. But don't worry, afternoons will be pleasant, with temperatures rebounding into the lower to middle 60s. Thursday will be breezier, with a north-northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph. Friday will be gentler, with a light breeze and plenty of sunshine.
The weekend is looking warmer. The high pressure that brought the crisp air will move offshore, allowing southerly winds and warming temperatures. As a warm front crosses the area Friday night into Saturday morning, expect some cloud cover and a slight chance of a stray sprinkle or shower. Saturday will see decreasing clouds and increasing sunshine, with temperatures rebounding into the lower 70s.
Sunday will be another breezy day, but the wind will be warmer, coming from the south-southwest. This will push temperatures into the middle 70s. The day will start off sunny, but clouds will increase and thicken during the afternoon. Showers are likely to arrive later in the day or at night. Don't expect much rain though, with most areas receiving 0. 25 inches or less.
