Maryland is in for a change this weekend. After a warm week, rain is on the way. This rain will bring relief to the state's dry conditions.
The weekend will start off warm. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s on Friday and Saturday. But don't get too comfortable. A cool-down is coming. By Sunday, highs will drop to the low 50s.
Rain will move in on Friday afternoon. It will stick around through Saturday. At times, it could be heavy. The rain will finally taper off overnight into Sunday morning.
The Baltimore area could see half an inch to one inch of rain by Sunday morning. This is good news. Over a quarter of the state is abnormally dry. Almost 75% is in a drought. The rain will help.
After the rain, dry weather will return. Monday will start the work and school week off on a dry note. This dry spell will last at least through the middle of the week. Temperatures will be cooler, in the low to upper 40s.
So, enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. Rain is coming. And with it, some relief from the dry conditions.
