MedTech Stocks at Decade Lows: Barclays Names Top Picks
Medical device stocks are trading at their lowest levels in ten years. That is what Barclays analyst Christopher Pasquale says. He thinks the bad mood around the sector is too harsh. Some company problems made things look worse than they are. He sees a turnaround coming in 2027. That could lift stock prices.
The market is actually growing fast. Last year it was worth over five hundred billion dollars. This year it could top six hundred billion. By 2034 it might hit one trillion. North America leads with more than a third of sales. That is a big pie for investors.
Pasquale does not say buy everything. He picks carefully. He wants companies that can beat expectations. They need clear catalysts soon. Revenue growth should speed up. Quality matters most. Two stocks make his list.
First up is Stryker Corporation. They make all kinds of hospital gear. Beds, surgical tools, neurotech, orthopedics. If you had a hospital stay you probably used their stuff. They reach over one hundred fifty million patients each year. Their range goes from high tech to basic hygiene supplies.
The second pick is not named in the report. But the same strict criteria apply. Wall Street may not agree yet. Pasquale sees value others miss. Time will tell if he is right.
