Meet Kash Patel: The Lawyer Trump Wants as FBI Director

Mon Dec 02 2024
Ever heard of Kash Patel? He's the guy President Trump wants to lead the FBI. Born to Indian immigrants in New York, Patel has made a name for himself in politics and law. He first caught Trump's eye when he worked for a congressman during the Russia investigation. That led to a job in the National Security Council and later as chief of staff to the acting defense secretary. Patel's education journey is interesting. He started at the University of Richmond, then headed to the UK for international law, and finally got his law degree from Pace University. He's a lawyer, but he's had some issues with his law licenses. He's no longer allowed to practice in Florida, but he can still work in New York. As for his money, Patel has worked in different jobs over the years. He started as a public defender, then moved to the Department of Justice. Later, he worked for a congressional committee. These days, he's on the board of a company linked to Trump and has a consulting contract worth a lot of money. He's also written books, including a memoir and kids' books about Trump.
