Meet Pam Bondi: Her Education and Career Journey

Most people know Pam Bondi as Florida's former attorney general. But now, she’s in the spotlight again because presidential hopeful Donald Trump has nominated her for U. S. attorney general. Before we dive into her career, let’s find out more about her education. Bondi is definitely no stranger to the legal world. She kick-started her journey at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. But her studies didn’t stop there. She went on to pursue a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law, and in 1991, she was officially admitted to the Florida Bar. Diving into her career, Bondi started as a prosecutor in Hillsborough County. She climbed the ladder to become an assistant state attorney, and eventually, she put her name forward to be Florida’s attorney general. She made quite the mark during her tenure from 2011 to 2019, focusing on issues like drug trafficking and opioid abuse. In fact, she even played a key role in President Trump’s impeachment trial in 2020 as one of his lawyers. 2024 might bring a new role for Bondi. Trump announced that he wants her to be the next attorney general, commending her for her tough stance on violent crimes and her work to combat drug trafficking. The Senate will have the final say on this nomination. Apart from her career, Pam Bondi's personal life remains largely under the radar. She was previously married twice and reportedly engaged to Greg Henderson in 2012. It’s unclear whether they are still together or if she has any children.
