In early January, Meghan Markle excitedly announced her new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The show, centered on cooking, homemaking, and lifestyle tips, was planned to debut in January. However, a recent announcement by Netflix revealed a change in plans. The show’s premiere has been postponed two months due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Netflix and Meghan agreed to delay the launch to March 4, 2025. Meghan expressed her gratitude to Netflix for supporting the decision. She wanted to focus on helping those impacted by the wildfires in her home state of California.
Royal expert Phil Dampier shared his thoughts on the timing of the show. He felt the postponement was necessary given the current situation. However, he also wondered if the show’s content might seem insensitive considering the ongoing tragedy. He suggested that debuting the series in the summer might be a better idea.
Meghan and Prince Harry have been trying to establish themselves outside of the royal family since 2020. They have worked on various projects, including a Spotify podcast and a book by Prince Harry. With this Netflix series, Meghan hoped to show a different side of herself.
The couple lives in Montecito, California, outside the evacuation zone, so their home was not affected by the wildfires. Despite the delay, Meghan’s series could still help revamp her image, highlighting her human side amidst the tragedy.
