A 22-year-old Michigander named Mack Davis from Owosso recently pleaded guilty to planning a hate-driven mass shooting aimed at LGBTQ+ spots. He targeted a political party office and a nearby bar, both places he linked to the LGBTQ+ community. Davis gathered an arsenal of weapons, ammunition, tactical gear, knives, and even hatched a plan to make bombs. Shockingly, he inscribed a hateful slur on one of the knives. He began plotting his attack back in April 2024 and even scouted out the locations online and in person.
Davis’s actions escalated when he vandalized and shot at his neighbors' properties, including their cars. Luckily, authorities arrested him before he could carry out his deadly plan. This case serves as a chilling reminder of the hate and violence that still exist, and the importance of law enforcement in protecting all communities.
